For more than 30 years, the Glasgow Shrine Club has dedicated itself to helping Kosair Kids. Since 1969, Shriners from the Glasgow area have raised an amazing amount of over $400,000 for Kosair Charities through the club’s annual candy sales. The fundraiser is much more than just a sweet gesture. It’s a tradition of helping children that the Glasgow Shrine Club vows to continue.

Each September, the Glasgow Shrine Club kicks off the annual candy sales. The Shriners sell candy throughout the South-Central Kentucky area, including Glasgow, Columbia, Burkesville and Horse Cave. The candy sales kick off during the huge roller coaster yard sale that runs along Highway 90 and Highway 63 from Mammoth Cave to Tennessee.

Glasgow Shrine Club raised $24,500 in 2006!

On Friday, January 13, the Glasgow Shrine Club traveled to the Kosair Shrine Temple in Louisville to make a presentation to the Kosair Charities. This year, the club raised $24,500 to help the kids. This accomplishment was made possible by selling candy, a golf scramble and donations. Since 1971, the Glasgow Shrine Club has donated over $440,000 to the Kosair Charities! Our heartfelt thanks goes out to everyone for your continued support and generosity and remember that when a Shriner asks you for a donation, every penny goes to the Kosair Kids.
