Masonic Re-obligation Ceremony at Kosair
Shrine Temple - Held on January 09, 2010

January 9, 2010 will go down as a great day for Kosair and Shrine Masonry. For the first time at Kosair, a Lodge of Master Masons was opened in Kosair for the purpose of conducting the re-obligation of the three degrees of Masonry. Potentate Kirk Carter requested that his lodge, Swigert-Middletown #218 open lodge and conduct the re-obligation for the benefit of Kosair.

Present were Grand Lodge officers Deputy Grand Master Don Yankey, Grand Senior Warden Terry Bowman, Grand Treasurer Tom Larimore, District 14 Deputy Grand Master Al Clark, Swigert-Middletown #218 Worshipful Master David Howser and officers and members, and Kosair Potentate Kirk Carter and Divan and in excess of 150 Kosair Nobles.
Swigert-Middletown did an excellent job of going through the obligations. It was a wonderful and meaningful way to begin the year at Kosair. The motto for the year will be “Remembering Our Obligations, Freemasonry First”. Special thanks go out to all who participated.

Also, last but not least, a truly special thanks goes out to our Illustrious Potentate, Kirk Carter, for his vision and leadership in this endeavor.
