Past
Potentate Lenny Sewell of Kosair Shriners has passed away after
a long illness. His passing was quite sudden but not unexpected
due to his declining health.
Lenny served Shrinedom and the children very well. In 1999, he
lead a Kosair Shrine - Scottish Rite Unity Class that created
more than 300 new nobles. There was a positive net in
membership at Kosair during his term as Potentate. Lenny and
Lady Carol were always an important part of the
social activities and fellowship of Kosair Shriners. He was a
respected member of many units and clubs including the Legion of
Honor.
His service as chairman of the board of directors of Kosair
Charities lead to significant advances in the wellness of
children and the name of Kosair in our region. He served
honorably and well until his retirement from the office of
chairman in 2009.
Lenny will be missed but he is at rest.
