My fellow Nobles.

We had a great get together for the July "Drive and Dine".  There were 14 people at Kingfish.  We all had a good time talking about things and eating.  During the dinner, it was decided that we will make the September Dine and Drive on September 25 at Marshal Geoghegan's house.

It will be a "Bring and Dish and Your Drinks" Picnic.  Marshal will smoke some meat for us.  It is important that we get a head count for this one.  I will discuss at our next meeting.  Marshal lives just north of LaGrange in Oldham county.  Directions will be coming.

August Dinner will be on August 14 at 2:00 PM at Our Best Restaurant in Fern Creek on Bardstown Road.  Take the Gene Snyder to Bardstown road (Exit 15).  Go north - toward Louisville approximately 2 miles Our Best is across from Saint Gabriel Church behind the McDonalds on your left (West Side).

The History of the Kosair Street Machines Club

The Street Machines Club held it's first meeting on January 12, 2002 and was started with 12 members. 2002 Potentate Gordon Berry presented the Club its charter and approved the by-laws.

Members of the Kosair Shriners Street Machines Club share a love of automobiles. This Club is for any Kosair Noble with a street legal vehicle of ANY type. We meet at the Shrine on the 4th Monday of every month at 7:30 p.m.

Kosair Street Machines - Ed Embry

Wow!! The Kosair Street Machines held our annual open car show on April 18 and what a turn out. If you missed this one, you missed a big one. There were over 82 cars, trucks and motorcycles. There was even a fire truck entered. The weather was perfect and a good time was had by all. We awarded 26 trophies in over 6 different classes. Thanks to all of the Clubs, Units and Nobles that helped by sponsoring a trophy.

Also at the car show was the unveiling of the Kosair giveaway car. It is a Brookville 1930 Model A Roadster Pickup that will be given away on November 12, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. ALL proceeds will go to Kosair Charities. Chances are just $10.00 each. Be sure to get your chance soon.
